  1. Eagles Trade for Michael Bennett

    Hmm, you're right, lol!
  2. Cox, Barnett, Bennett, Jernigan, Graham, Long, Allen.
  3. GO VOTE JOE

I was always a bit jealous of your lines during the 80's. I'm surprised to find out that he is not in the HoF. So even me, the enemy, voted for a player who truly excelled at his position....still 96% though.
  4. Skins reportedly to sign RB Bryon Marshall from Philly

Marshall logged some valuable minutes on ST's last year and was a competent return man. Runs stronger than his size would suggest. We just had no room for him after Corey Clement surprised everyone during training camp.
  5. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000870287/article/dolphins-trade-jay-ajayi-to-eagles-for-2018-draft-pick From NFL.com, among other sources. Jay Ajayi to the Eagles for a 4th round pick.
  6. Redskins vs Eagles Prediction Thread: Who Is For Real?

My apologies for getting the final score wrong...it was Eagles 34, Skins 24, not 27-23 as predicted.

I have no hatred for the Redskins. I think it's because I felt sorry for a fanbase that had to deal with Vinnie Cerrato. We had our share of front office garbage back in the Braman days.
  8. 2017 Eagles Look-a-Like Thread

LOL! Every fan base has crazies. I must admit, I come to this site every week to see the look-a-like thread from each team.

The reason Wentz has been hit and sacked that much is because he holds on to the ball too damn long and tries to extend every play, sort of like a young Brett Favre. If Doctson caught the ball, you'd have that game in the win column. Rules are rules, the refs be damned. 10. Redskins vs Eagles Prediction Thread: Who Is For Real?

I see this game hinging on one key matchup: Skins o-line vs. Eagle's d-line. What it comes down to is whether or not Cousins will have the time to attack our weak corners (who are playing better BTW). I don't believe the interior of the Skins line can hold off Cox and Jernigan. The Eagles have for the most part generated a pass rush with the front four and the occasional LB tossed in for good measure. They don't blitz much. Keeping 6 or 7 out of the box not only helps in pass defense but also allows the LB's to attack running backs with impunity, seeing as the front four usually ties up all the blockers on the line. Eagles run D is excellent. While I've seen posts alluding to the Skins having the first game blues, so did the Eagles. Peterson finally figured out that a) Wisnieski should be the left guard, and 2) giving Blount the ball is usually a good idea. Eagles run game has improved quite a bit since that first game...hell, an argument can be made that if Wis played left guard in the K.C. game, the Eagles would not have given up 6 sacks, as 4 of them came over the left guard Semanalu, who is really a center (why he played guard that game is still a mystery). The Eagles were a Hail Mary from tying that game and maybe being 6-0. I believe the Eagles win the battle in the trenches, and thus the game, 27-23
  11. Why has a female never played in the NFL?

    That's an insult to women.
  12. Why has a female never played in the NFL?

Strangely enough, of the major sports in this country, it is probably football where they have the best chance, not the least because of the specialization of the kicking position. Hundreds of thousands of girls play soccer, and there might be a small chance of one of them being good enough to kick. In addition, there are female college rugby teams and international teams like the All-Blacks female team--females even play rugby in the Olympics. No they are not close to male size and strength, but some of those girls can kick or punt over 50 yards with ease. A female kicker could kick off and just jog off the field. Heck, when the NFL had the first great influx of midget soccer players kicking, coaches told some of them to just run off the field after kicking. Girls also participate in UFC, MMA, boxing, etc....so they are not strangers to physical contact and there is a pool of females who would at least probably give it a shot. Baseball? Years ago there was a pro girls team sponsored by Coors called the Silver Bullets, coached by Phil Niekro. They were losing to high school boys teams. Maybe a female can develop a good enough breaking pitch to be a specialized relief pitcher, but I doubt it. Basketball? The physical talent pool is automatically smaller, as there simply aren't many women over 6'2", let alone ones that can ball. Very few can even jump high enough to dunk. The only position I can see a female playing is PG or SG, and the defensive lability would be so great that I doubt they see the floor. If Isaiah Thomas, noted little baller who was scoring 30 a game for the Celtics, was being ripped for his defense, what would happen to a female? Hockey? Goalie, maybe?? IDK...can't see a girl holding her own in the crease.
  13. Eh, as long as Pederson is our coach, we won't win much of anything.
