E-Dog Night
http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnorth/post/_/id/50222/kicking-off-the-nfc-playoff-standings The usual disclaimer - I searched electronically and also scanned the thread titles and didn't see see this posted. But here's the deal - if the playoffs started today, the Redskins should be in the 6th wildcard position. But they aren't. By virtue of the "Fail Mary" play where the Seahawks were erroneously given a TD against the Packers on the game's final play in week 3, they now hove the 6th position and the Redskins are in 7th. Something to watch as the season progresses.

Skinsfan In NM
So even all the way back then mara's plan was working out to screw us! That dirty (insert adjective of your choice here).
Boots
Is there anything we can do about it? I say we just move on, and hope the team can win the games ahead of them. Sucks, but there's no use ****ing and moaning about things we can't change.
Skinz4Life12
its just unbelievable that the worst call in the history of the NFL back in week 3 could come back to haunt us in not making the post season this year.

RVAbrendan
Doesn't matter. this is all moot if we didn't **** the bed vs. Carolina, or give Eli the game the first time around.
Hitman21ST
We take care of business, and there's a very good chance that it won't matter. The Giants will lose at least one, if not two of their last four games. The Seahawks could lose one or two games. Like I said before the Giants game, if we won that (which we did), we are in a better position to make the playoffs than New York (despite being one game back). pez
Thing that sucks is that they have a very winnable schedule from here on out. vs ARI @ BUFF vs SF vs STL They always play well at home and they will have 3 home games. Not sure if we will be able to catch them for the wildcard.
More Complete
The Seahawks beating the Bears on Sunday didn't help either.
KingGibbs
Hopefully karma hurries up and suspends their two corners.
Rypien1191
Been saying for a month that play is going to come back to kill us. Thanks again Roger. Seattle isn't losing 2 more games.
Boss_Hogg
Not worried about the Seahags. The Skins are going to win the NFC East.

Not sure if we will be able to catch them for the wildcard. I feel like they could drop 3 of those games. Buffalo in December is no walk in the park. SF is very strong, and STL has been surprising teams all year and have a great defense.
CTskins
I full expect the 'Hawks to beat the Cards this week, but next three? As mediocre as Buffalo is, the Seahawk have to travel across the country. SF and STL are vs divisional opponents. I think we saw from the STL vs SF games, that anything is possible and records should be thrown out. Not that I don't agree that they have an extremely win-out-able schedule. Just trying to find a forward looking silver lining...

TMK9973
Keep in mind the Buffalo game is in Toronto and indoors.. I think the Hawks beating the bears means its NFC East or nothing for us.
21MadFan
If the Redskins took care of business and didn't lose to the Rams and Panthers we wouldn't be having this conversation.

It's still 3,000 miles and 3 time zones to the east. And what's the deal with this purple money?!?!?!?
santana_4_prez
Do not count the Bears out of losing 3 out of their last 4. Not likely, but you just never know. 3 road games and GB at home. Sun 12/9 Minnesota Vikings at Minnesota Sun 12/16 Green Bay Packers Green Bay Sun 12/23 Arizona Cardinals at Arizona Sun 12/30 Detroit Lions at Detroit

CrypticVillain
That Seahawks/Bills game is in Toronto. so that can benefit the Seahawks. The 49ers better not mess it up and let them win. That is the only game I can see them losing. But honestly, I think we can win the East.
Skinz4Life12
yea the bears could definitely **** the bed and be 9-7 after the next 4 games
kiingspadee
I was looking and if Giants & Redskins finish with the same record we would win the East. I do not understand how but that's the fact. I think with the Seahawks losing their star corners they may have a tough road.....or hope they do.
