RG3toMonk
Going to my only 'Skins game of the year this Sunday with the wife. Bought these tickets in hopes to see you know who under center. As my luck would have it, he gets a concussion and we not only lose the Falcons game because of it; but I might not get to seem him play. What your thought? Will he play Sunday? I'm thinking positive. HTR :helmet:
skinsfan07
Depends on how well he does in practice. If he plays, we win. If not......idk
Hazel-Ra
I only hope he plays if he feels right about doing it.
Gibbs Hog Heaven
Yes. But I'd rather he be held back if there's ANY hangover at all on the concussion by weeks end. Hail.
tibbidoe
I think he probably will, but I'd prefer he didn't.
Skinz4Life12
based on what Shanny has said and the tweet from RG3, I'd say yes. i read he's passed all his tests so far and appears to be fine
Son of Gadsden
I'm in the same boat as you dude. I'm driving up from southern VA 5 hours to see the game. Hoping its not to see Cousins, if so, I'm going to have to invest in some of those ridiculously priced beers.
terrifNick21
Yes, I think he will play and play well.
goonsquad
Yes. But I'd rather he be held back if there's ANY hangover at all on the concussion by weeks end. Hail. Totally agree. I'd rather lose the next 5 games without RGIII if sitting him means he gets and stays healthy.
Bobbyst21
Yeah I'm sure he will if the concussion really wasn't that bad.( For a concussion that is) Question is, will the rest of the team?
BleedBNG
As long as he stays 10 feet away from Robinson until the first snap... he'll play
Son of Gadsden
I find it slightly funny/scary that in my motocross career, I had impacts that I got up not knowing how to mount the bike again and with the help from a flagger got going again. I saw James Stewart get on his bike backwards once and fall over after a hit. Now we've got people not playing for weeks over concussions. So much for my dad telling me "Get up son, you're alright. Just got your bell rung." when I was younger. Seriously, "getting your bell rung" turns out to be not so minor now huh. lol. Don't get me wrong, not saying it's ridiculous. Just interesting to see how far we've come (in this sport), and how far off a lot of the others are.
Veckatimeister
Just like the Shanny said, barring ANY setback, he's gonna play. I'm hoping there aren't any and he's good to go, but always err on the side of caution. Any lasting effects and we should sit him until he's 100%. RG3 is an investment for our franchises future, plus, its not like we were all expecting the playoffs in his rookie year anyway (realistically at least). skinsforlife101
If he is cleared by the doctors and does well in practice then play him. The doctors know best at least it was not a hit like Heyward-Bey took in the Oakland- Pitt game a few weeks ago.
Rumple_Stiltskin
I dont think there is anyway he will sit. If it was up to him I dont believe he would of came out of the game Sunday. According to the tests thus far hes good to go now. Comes down to what the doc says I guess!
spjunkies
He's going to give it a go.
Boss_Hogg
Even if he is "cleared" I want him to sit. Start Kirk or Rex Just a precaution.
skinnyles
He took a good lick to the jaw....like a boxer...... it will cause you to briefly blackout due to a pinched nerve under the jaw. I'll wager he wasn;t concussed at all.
Bacon
I think he probably will, but I'd prefer he didn't. This. RG3 already said that he's certain he'll pass the cognitive tests and play, but I'm concerned nonetheless.
Murphs56
If he clears all the tests, it means the doctors find him 100% ready to play without any limitations. There's no higher risk for him to receive a concussion if the doctors clear him to play on Sunday
AlvinWaltonIsMyBoy
RG3 is a warrior. I expect him to play. I expect him to dominate.

Just interesting to see how far we've come (in this sport), and how far off a lot of the others are. LOL at the 22 year "Old Curmudgeon" lamenting on how soft we've gotten as a society. For real though I got knocked out multiple times in my life, some because I deserved it, some because I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and some because it was my best day evarrrr in the bullring in pop warner. Watcha gonna do, NFL players aren't any less tough because doctors are more prominently on the scene nowadays. That being said he would have been back on the field two years ago, but lawsuits and understandable medical precaution say otherwise. He'll play, and if you guys are smart you'll drink your ass off pregame in the B lot - braincells be damned! :evilg:
DogofWar1
If he passes all the tests, then he should be a go. Cutler gets like 8 concussions a year and is usually out there the next week. I think they've made him surly, but he's still an NFL caliber QB. We'll wait on the tests though. The real question is, who starts if RGIII sits, Cousins or Grossman? I'm leaning Cousins because I feel like there's probably not a ton of difference between the two, and if Cousins does well he could upgrade to trade bait.
