Blondie
I know most of you don't know this story. However, here in central and north Texas, it has been in the news for several years now. What a beautiful girl....whose life change with the pull of a trigger. The link will take you through the story, with the photos. Read it all. It is worth the time. To know someone can overcome this tragedy is heart warming. In the right column, there is a GALLERY link. Look at what this poor woman has had to go through. And so many of us whine about some little something going on in our lives. The photos are graphic. The different links will take you through the entire ordeal. cjcdaman
That is sad. Although she is taking it well for this interview, I'm sure she has some really bad times. And the guy who did this was not sentenced to death??? This is Texas for cryin' out loud!
JuanC
I read both of the article of the woman and the trial. A very inspiring and sad story for anyone.

I believe that happened in Texas and it had graphic pictures.
SkinnedAussie
A similar case here in 1985 when a young woman copped a shotgun blast to the face. Admittedly, the damage was reduced as the blast came through her front door, but none the less, her injuries were far worse. She is now living as normal a life as she can, and working with domestic abuse victims. Here's a transcript of an interview from 2003. http://www.abc.net.au/gnt/people/Transcripts/s952984.htm I answered a knock at the door. And I thought about opening it, but I decided to ask who it was. And that was the last thing I remember. I woke up in the hospital, but I didn't sort of understand for a long time what had happened and half of my face had been shot away with a shotgun.
