:xskins: Landover, MD -   Greetings to all my fellow ES'ers and ES'ettes! It's your neighborhood friendly TSO up here in the Press Box at FedEx Field along with the greatest photographer in the universe (verified fact, he has a plaque stating such), my man @Spaceman Spiff. We're here to provide you the best Redskins' coverage you'll find on the planet and, perhaps, in the universe - though I must admit Planet X5567 from the Controria Quadrant does a pretty good job of it themselves. Sorry for that, news of an Obi-Wan Kenobi movie in the making clearly has me overly geeked out. :D

Anywho, does this feel like just another preseason game to you? Not if you're as hardcore as we folk here on ES are. We had talk of Jay's "soft" approach to Training Camp, of which arguably cost us big time last year when the team came out and laid a massive goose egg against the Steelers during the season opener, all week where some felt last week's game against the Ravens was another indication of such an approach. Jay himself, to his credit, admitted during his presser on Wednesday:

      Quote

.......I just think when you talk about ‘wakeup call,’ I just think everybody has to come out and understand the other team has an agenda also. We didn’t match the same agenda, and that’s probably my fault. You know, six plays, two three-and-outs for the No. 1 offense wasn’t what we expected, but we expect our offense  to come out and play a little bit better, more physical, try to get the running game going a little bit. Two-point-two yards per carry is what I was most disappointed in the whole game. For us to be a physical football team, we have to be able to run the ball better.”

      Also, this:

      :ols:

Not to mention the anxiousness that exists within the fanbase to see our Defense show signs of real, identifiable legitimacy - if it exists at all - where every gaffe is honed in on and nitpicked to death. I'll also be continuing my intense focus on the Dline that started with last week's game here.

Then there are the players we haven't seen yet due to injuries. Of course, that starts first and foremost with none other than Josh Docston. We've seen such a minimal amount of live snaps from our 2016 1st rounder it's cut a deep gash in our fan souls. He's a game time decision so we'll find out soon enough if we'll be given some much needed healing. Preston Smith should be playing today along with Jamison Crowder, who will both look to get their first snaps of the preseason. And don't forget some of the young'ns who finally started practicing this week which leads me to the final proof of this game's heightened meaning...

The still strong and remaining excitement regarding the potential of this year's draft picks. Whether it's our early picks in Allen and Anderson (another game time decision) or the later round guys like Sprinkle, Harvey-Clemons and Holsey... every player has buzz surrounding them. And as alluded to above, our mid-round guys in Fabian Moreau and Montae Nicholson should finally be getting some snaps for us to dig into.

So, yeah, suffice to say I'm certainly excited. Preseason or not, I can't wait to see what goes down!

Stay tuned for more tweets, notes, player interviews and general coverage all throughout the day, pre-game and post-game! :xskins:

As usual when I do this, I'll be focusing in on the trenches (well, mostly) since everyone will be following the ball. Got the binoculars ready to go. :)

      1st Quarter Notes

-Shawn Lauvao driven back on first snap for offense. No gain for Rob Kelley.

      - Moreau, first snap in the NFL, causes fumble on punt return!

      - Ty Nsekhe gives up pressure to Matthews on following snap, 4th offensive snap of the game.

      - Oline holding up well outside of those two gaffes.

      -  McGee, Hood and McClain starting on the Line, nice pressure first snap from all of them.

      - Nothing much from any of the DLinemen the next two snaps. Allen and Ioannidis were in the nickel defense on 3rd down.

      -  McGee, Hood and McClain again on following play after penalty. McGee with a nice run stop. Gets off his man, makes tackle.

      - Next play, Hood pushed back, allowing 5 yard gain from RB.

      - Allen over pursues, leaves gap on run play following a few quick plays from Rodgers.

      - Ioannidis follows with a good run stop.

      - Ioannidis with a good pass rush on following 3rd down. Rodgers does Rodgers' things and runs for a first.

      - Terrell McClain with a good rush on 2nd and 6.

      - Hood and McClain are the linemen in near the goal line. Do a nice job on 1st and goal after penalty to allow Foster to get the run stop.

      - Zach Brown played that well on the TD, just a good throw and good catch by Rodgers and Bennett.

      - Nsekhe and Sherff struggle on pass off, Sherff gives up pressure on second snap of ensuing offensive drive.

      - Fabian Moreau again doing a great job on the punt, first guy there and finishes the tackle.

      - McGee, Hood and McClain your starting linemen.

      - Sack was mostly Preston Smith, but McGee does a good job getting immediate push.

      - Allen and Ioannidis in. Allen with great awareness on screen. Sniffs it out immediately and gets in on tackle. Ioannidis did well to get immediate pressure on QB, but he was essentially allowed a free release since it was a screen.

      - Not much of a rush on following 3rd down from Allen or Ioannidis.

      - Offense back out. Moses is in.

      - Just no movement from Lauvao on run play, Moses pulling inside also nothing.

      - Following 3rd and 1, Moses and Sherff do nice job getting some push to allow Kelley to get the first.

      large.A01A4666.jpg.760828bac6315b519066c

      2nd Quarter Notes

      - Oline doing well first two plays of 2nd quarter.

      - 1st down after penalty by Packers on 3rd down, Lauvao pulling but finds no one. Kelley still got a couple yards.

      - Ensuing 3rd down, Oline all do a good job in pass protection.

      - Lauvao pulls again on 4th down, not finding anyone. Surprised they didn't get the first, though. Seemed like it was enough.

      -  Ioannidis, Francis and Hood in now at Dline.

      - Francis pushed back on the first play, run picks up a chunk.

      -  McGee and McClain in the nickel. Nothing much from either.

      - Same on the next play near the goal line.

      -  I'm dying right now, some Packer's media in front of me all excited, fist bumping after every TD. Probably some fan bloggers, it's annoying though.

      - Offense back out.

      - Oline does a great job on 2nd down. As clean a pocket as all night.

      - Again, on 3rd down, nice job. Kirk with a dime. Finally.

      - Lauvao on following play with zero push, but Trent gets it. Kelley with decent gain.

      - Thus far, the Oline really looks exactly the same as last year. Good at pass protection, but just no push in the running game. Frustrating.

      -  Lanier and Taylor out on the DLine now. Both do a good job on first down run. Pick up of 4 not their fault.

      - Following play, Phil Taylor destroys his guy and gets into the QBs face quickly, great pass rush.

      - Following play on 3rd down, both are stymied and don't generate any rush.

      - Following play, Lanier with a decent rush, but took a while to get off his guy.

      - Play after the next, 3rd down, Phil Taylor with a great rush, beats his guy immediately, and finishes with the sack. He just looks the part.

      - Offense back out.

      - Following big play to Vernon down the sideline, Lauvao gives up pressure.

      - Following 1st down pass to Doctson, Lauvao gives up another pressure.

      - 1st and Goal, no push upfront on run play. Thompson loses two yards.

      - 2nd and Goal, do a good job in pass protection.

      - 4th and Goal, good pass pro, TD.

      Half Time Analysis

Welp, another frustrating preseason outing so far, but thankfully the first team offense scored their first TD of the preseason at the very end.

My major takeaways regarding the lines are:

      1) The Oline seems to be exactly the same as last year. Strong in pass pro and unable to get any push in the run game. They're still too high, too often, and Lauvao is a liability.

      2) As for the Dline, it was also a bit disappointing in comparison to last week when they played much better, but they weren't necessarily a negative. Phil Taylor looks great. Everyone else was just... meh.

As for the game, it was nice to see Fabian Moreau out there making plays on Special Teams. He looks the part, and even the bomb he gave up wasn't necessarily bad coverage on his end. Seeing Spaight get that big hit in the backfield was sweet. Montae Nicholson looked good, as well. Breeland struggled against Nelson, which is becoming a pattern for him at this point. The TD Zach Brown gave up was simply a great throw and catch from Rodgers to Bennett, and otherwise he looked good out there along with Foster. Compton actually had a nice play blowing up an OLineman.

Kirk was on and off, as was the entire first team offense. Not sure what is going on with them, but they've always got one or two guys failing. It was great to see Doctson out there towards the end, and he should've had a TD, but the moment he came free Kirk looked the other way, panicking in the red zone. But, yeah, can't help but get excited by Doctson.

Alrighty, let's see what happens the following half. Hopefully we get to see better overall play from the second teamers.

      large.A01A3149.jpg.40a7d090c9a7ee0e5f111

      3rd Quarter Notes

      - Lanier and Mbu the Dlinemen

      - 2nd down, Lanier with a great pass rush, generates the hold!

      - 3rd down, Mbu with a great pass rush, spinning his way to a sack. He had a terrible game last week, so this is good to see.

      - Your 2nd Team Oline: Nsekhe, Kalis, Roullier, Catalina, and Painter.

      - They do a good job on first down run to the left. Perine gains 4.

      - 2nd down run, Catalina doesn't get the push you'd like, but everyone else does a good job.

      - 3rd down, they do a decent job in pass rush. Nsekhe and Catalina pushed back a little bit, but maintain.

      - Middle of the line does a great job getting push on ensuing run.

      - Ensuing throw, Catalina gives up a pressure.

      - 3rd down, Painter lost on the outside, but McCoy gets it off quick.

      - Lanier, Francis and Taylor out at Dline now.

      - 3rd down, Lanier with a nice pass rush.

      - These guys in front of me are actually flipping out about the way the Packers are playing right now. What the!? :ols:

      - 1st down, Roullier, I believe, falls down and gives up a pressure. May not have been him, happened fast.

      - 2nd down, they do a good job run blocking except Catalina who ends up on the floor.

      - 3rd down, good job all around. Big run by Perine to the outside.

      - Following play, Catalina gets no push, everyone else does but only slightly so. No gain from Perine.

      - 3rd down, Kalis loses his one on one, but McCoy throws quick to Paul for a TD.

      - Francis and Mbu are your Dlinemen.

      - Mbu looks really good today... beat his man right away, but run was away from him.

      - Aaaand then he follows it up with good penetration, playing a role in the near sack fumble.

      - Offense back on. Bootleg, but Roullier doesn't seem to find his target, who almost gets McCoy.

      - Next play, great double team from Painter and Catalina, good push in general from the rest. Perine for a nice gain.

      - Next play, most get push, Roullier does a great job getting to the second level.

      - Following play, good pass pro from the entire Line.

      - Few plays later, last play of the 3rd quarter, Line does another great job in pass pro.

      large.A01A4695.jpg.dd8a3047bc2bb8a03cc35

      4th Quarter Notes

      - Mbu, Francis and Lanier are your Dlinemen.

      - 2nd down, all three get pushed back slightly. Not very good, but only a gain of 3 for the rush.

      - 3rd down and short, again all three get pushed back.

      - Following 2nd down, Francis with a good run stop. Maintains leverage, sheds, makes tackle on run to the outside right.

      - Same OLine out, but Sudfeld and Matt Jones in.

      - 2nd down, good push from all except Roullier, who gets pushed back slightly.

      - Mbu and Banks are your Dlinemen.

      - 2nd down, Banks beats his man for a nice rush, but QB gets it off quickly.

      - 3rd down, no pass rush from either.

      - Not much from either of them the next few snaps, as well. TD Green Bay.

      - 3rd string Oline in now. Not much to note here.

      - Lanier, Pipkins and Banks in on the Dline.

      - Few plays into the drive, Lanier beats his man soundly but running back too far outside of him to affect play.

      - 3rd down with about 2:40 on the clock, zero rush from the Dline.

      - Offense back out. Kuandjio just got beat badly, Sudfeld hit hard but gets the ball out and Davis makes a great play on it.

      - Play after the roughing penalty, Kling just did a crap job on the speed rush. Sudfeld sacked.

      - 2nd and 17, good pass pro from all involved.

      - Good pass pro again on the following 3rd down.

      Forum Rules and Guidelines

      08/08/2016

      Welcome to ExtremeSkins,
      the official message board
of the Washington Redskins   Photo by  Spaceman Spiff   Since the creation of this message board in May, 2000, through the merger with www.redskins.com as the official team message board in August, 2005, to the present day, the ExtremeSkins Staff has always aspired to create and maintain the highest standards of interaction of any message board community on the web. To uphold and maintain those expectations, considerable time and effort have been expended to clearly outline and define them for the benefit of the membership. Compliance with these rules and guidelines is not optional, it is a site requirement. Ignorance of the rules will not be considered a viable excuse for violations. As ExtremeSkins members, your first responsibility is to familiarize yourselves with the rules and abide by them. Violations are subject to various penalties to be determined by our moderators. Some penalties are more serious than others. The Staff will try to answer questions regarding moderating decisions. This will be done according to available time and if merited by the situation and conduct of the member. In all cases moderators require that their requests/directions be followed.   Due to the size of the membership and high volume of traffic it is impossible for us to review every message. We have empowered the general membership with the ability to assist the Staff by calling possible violations to our attention. This includes using the "Report this post" function. It allows members to notify the Staff of a violation by providing a direct link to the posted infraction and the opportunity to explain the concern. Knowledgeable members may also inform other posters of violations they observe in a post, preferably politely. This helps potentially offending members by giving them a chance to edit accordingly.   To use the Report Post function, simply click on the Report icon that can be found under the Quote button on the bottom right corner of a post. No one other than the Staff will know who reported the post.   TO FANS OF OPPOSING TEAMS This is a website owned by the Washington Redskins, maintained by Redskins fans, and primarily devoted to Washington Redskins football. While we enjoy visitors, we did not leave the door open hoping to have people drop by intent on changing our way of thinking. We are quite happy (some might argue "miserable" at times) being Redskins fans. We continue to believe that each Sunday marks a new beginning and that eventually we will return to our days of greatness. You, of course, can laugh at that notion, but if you do it here, it probably won't be taken too kindly. If you're a fan of a rival team, please don't make the mistake of thinking this is an always-friendly environment. When you are here, your screen is burgundy and gold for a reason. We’re ExtremeSkins. Nothing about this site should suggest to you that we are interested in being all things to all football fans. We have many knowledgeable fans here who know quite a bit about Washington Redskins football in particular and the NFL in general. We allow a certain amount of Redskins machismo here, because that is part of the Redskins experience. So be advised you will likely encounter critical and disparaging statements related to your chosen football team from time to time. As with all issues, moderators will determine what is or isn't allowable independent of anyone's team affiliation. Do enjoy your time here---we welcome well-behaved rival fans and enjoy other perspectives in the form of solid football discussion, along with the typical banter expected in such venues as long as it is within our Forum Rules. But don't let your activities interfere with our ability to enjoy your time here.   FORUM OPERATION 1. Each visitor may own a single registered account.

To activate your account, you MUST check your email and click the verification link that is sent to you after your account has been manually approved. Allow up to 48 hours to have your account approved. Duplicate accounts are prohibited, and the Staff employs security measures to enforce this policy. Duplicate accounts may immediately be closed (i.e., banned). Do not create additional registered accounts to bypass an issued ban absent compelling circumstances. Any attempt to circumvent any moderating action by registering a secondary account will result in a permanent banishment of all related accounts. Simply use the Contact Us  link at the bottom of any page or email us at staff@extremeskins.com or send a message via the Official Extremeskins Facebook page.   2. Use discretion in selecting an appropriate username.
Do not attempt to register inappropriate usernames, including, but not limited to, racial slurs, profanity and vulgarity (explicit or implicit). New user accounts with inappropriate usernames will not be activated. Offenders may be contacted by ExtremeSkins Staff and advised to select an appropriate username. Registration of user names of actual Redskins coaches, players, media, or front office personnel (past or present) is prohibited. If you are not Fred Davis, do not register that as your user name. Posting in a way that suggests some association, relationship, employment or any other affiliation (including statements expressing your identity is that of a player, owner, coach, executive, former player, etc.) should be avoided until your identity is verified by a member of the ExtremeSkins Staff. Please send a PM so we can verify your identity if applicable.   3. Spam is strictly prohibited.
The following are some examples of what ES considers spam: Very short posts that do not add value to the topic.
Example: posts with only the words, "I dunno," or "lol cool," or "in before close" or a quote of a post with only "smileys" added, or simply the word "this" and an upward arrow or "x2" added. If that is the only contribution you have to make to the discussion, this is not the place for you.   Double Posting.
A double post constitutes back-to-back posts by the same member. The second post may be considered spam. If you make an error while submitting a post, or realize you would like to elaborate further, please use the "edit" button/function (located at the lower right of each post) to modify the original rather than create an additional post. An exception to the rule applies when a member wants to address the content of separate individual posts from different members. For example, the first point addresses the content of member A's post; the subsequent post addresses the content of member B's post.   Posts that serve no apparent purpose other than to increase one's post count.
For example, if someone asks a question and you reply just to say you don't know the answer, or create "test" threads or posts, this will be considered spam. If you want to test your signature picture/text, you can do that in any thread where you have already posted. Every time you edit and save a change in your Profile, simply hit your browser’s "refresh" button in a thread in which you have posted. Your account will have been updated across every post you have ever written.
Please note that advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are inappropriate and unacceptable on any of our forums.
      4. Please post your message in the appropriate forum.
Familiarize yourself with each forum description. Please be considerate and respectful to our visitors who frequent particular forums to gain knowledge on particular topics. Resist the temptation to post irrelevant topics in an inappropriate forum to achieve a wider audience. Moderators may move your post if it's more relevant to another forum or administer a penalty.   5. Your default position is to be respectful of your fellow members in your posts.
Upon registering, every member agrees to not post inappropriate material or topics. This includes content which is knowingly false, defamatory, deceptive, inaccurate, racist, insulting, abusive, inflammatory, vulgar, hateful, obscene, profane, sexually graphic, or physically threatening. It also includes posting anything invasive of another member's personal privacy outside of their posted content on ES, or in violation of any law including any stalking or otherwise harassing any member. Such material connected to the poster's life beyond what they willingly post on ES is a particularly serious violation. Free debate within the parameters outlined is welcome, and diversity of opinion is vital to a good debate. Every member is free to post their own opinion on the topic/subject of the thread without sanction, as long as the way it's expressed does not violate forum rules. As you debate your fellow members we request you maintain contact with the content of the discussion within each reply, especially as any exchange becomes more heated. We encourage spirited discussions and holding people accountable for what they post. This may be done in ways from funny to firm, including being castigating if reasonably merited. For example, calling someone "clueless" or calling some comment or post “stupid” when done in appropriate and justifiable context to the poster’s actual content is often allowable. This is most safely done when in response to a specifically posted comment using the "quote" feature or in accurate reference to a poster’s general content in various threads over time on a given topic. Such castigations must not be excessive, and the reaction should be such as may normally be expected by an average reader with a strongly opposing and reasonably informed opinion. If you're unsure, being civil is the safest course. You will rarely go wrong by going after the views of the poster more than the poster's character or personality as you see it. Moderators determine any actions to be taken if needed. Bottom line--do as you choose and so will the moderators. We are not seeking to favor some genteel "tea & crumpets" gathering or some dry and ponderous book club discussion forum. Nor are we seeking some gratuitously flaming cage-match atmosphere in our threads. Understand that moderators have wide latitude in defining and enforcing this rule. For this and all matters related to moderation, we suggest close inspection of Rule 18.   6. Do not attempt to circumvent the profanity filters.
Type in your word and let the filters do their job of substituting asterisks for letters. Then check your post to see if all profanity was filtered. Veiled or "subtle" attempts at using profanity are unacceptable. We allow the use of either all asterisks/symbols or none at all. For example "****" and "*&*%$" are acceptable, while “s**t” or “sh*t" are not. Members quoting profanity filter violations (or other rule violations) without editing the violation out of the quote are simply creating another violation of this Rule and may be penalized accordingly.   7. Ensure the topic you wish to initiate a thread about hasn’t already been posted. We suggest newer members spend some time just reading the forums you're interested in, getting to know the board a bit, and definitely learn the rules, before starting new threads. If you are reporting Redskins "news" or "rumors" more than a few minutes old, please use the Search Feature (advanced setting) and/or scan the first two pages of the forum before posting, to ensure the news hasn't already been posted and the topic discussed. If the ES Search Feature seems to be ineffective, use this option. Multiple topics may be closed or merged and other penalties may be applied. This is a very large and active community, with sweeping media coverage and up-to-the-minute updates. More than likely, most news/information has already been posted and is the subject of discussion in existing threads. Most current and relevant topics usually have any number of variations active in threads at any given time. If you wish to discuss that topic, you are encouraged to do so in one of those existing threads. Violations of any thread-starting rule may cost your posting privileges. To remedy that circumstance, carefully and thoroughly read our rules and when you can figure out how you erred specifically, PM a moderator to let them know. However, contacting Staff with questions about why you can't start threads or post in them after anything less than doing so may "fall on deaf ears." Years of experience has found this to be the most effective way to persuade members to actually (eventuality) read the rules on starting new threads and follow them as everyone agrees to do when they register on ES.   8. Please use descriptive and accurate topic titles for your thread.
Adherence to this rule assists visitors in utilizing discretion when selecting content to read. It serves to notify members if a particular topic has already been posted and discussed and potentially prevents multiple threads on the exact same topic. Be respectful of the fact that some people come to ExtremeSkins explicitly for latest Redskins news and content, without the editorializing of titles by members. We are having a preponderance of threads being started, particularly in the Stadium forum, where a title of 2 to 3 non-descriptive words is used. This shows a lack of courtesy to your fellow members. With an ever-increasing number of new threads every day, and an expanding member base, members become more selective about which threads to open and spend their time reading, and which ones to bypass. They cannot do that if the thread titles are 'Guess what?', 'Hey, I just noticed...', or 'WTF!' You are also creating extra work for the Staff who, instead of just merging redundant, repetitive threads based on accurate titles, now has to open each one up and try and figure out where it belongs. So, regardless of the forum, if your thread title is simply "Santana Moss" or any other person's name and nothing else, you may find yourself unable to post. In all our forums, we expect accurate and clear descriptions of your topic in your title.   9. False posts or misleading subject titles are prohibited.
Deception at the expense of the audience devalues the medium and the content it provides. Enforcement is at the discretion of the moderators. Exceptions are sometimes made for humorous titles, for instance, but any risk is on the poster. As will all rules, if you're unsure it is suggested you err on the side of caution.   10. Adhere to ES policies on using headlines/content from other websites to start a new thread or to add to an existing thread.
When posting anything concerning news articles from outside sources or using any website as part of the topic please include a direct link (i.e., URL) to the original page/site. Paste the URL directly atop the post, above a small portion of the article's text (for example, the lead paragraph or a particular sentence or two). Such a practice provides credibility and attribution to the source of the information, and allows visitors the option to visit the respective websites. You are responsible for the content you post. If you are posting a published article from a news source, please title your thread in the following format: "SOURCE SHORTFORM: HEADLINE" (Ex. WP: Redskins Name Mike Shanahan New Head Coach). If the source is a blog or a chain e-mail, put "blog" or "chain e-mail" at the beginning of the thread title. Please see our copyright statement. If you're adding content from any website to an existing thread, do not post large sections of that content. Just post the link and a brief section that is relevant to the point the content is intended to support.   11. Please do not use the “Quote” feature to quote pics, gifs, vids, or any large sections of text.
It unnecessarily extends and clutters threads and is annoying. Edit them out. If you would like to respond to the contents of a particular post, you can simply highlight text, click the popup that floats over it, and it just quotes that text.  When on mobile, if you quote a post with an image in it, simply tap the image in the quote box to highlight it & hit backspace on your keyboard to delete it.   12. No trolling. Beware of making baiting posts.
Do not post comments that are fundamentally inflammatory, or of little substantive content, or of some broadly insulting nature that serve primarily to incite your fellow members. ExtremeSkins has always prided itself on its zero tolerance policy for the common internet troublemaker. Trolls come in many forms and will be identified and censured at the discretion of the ES Staff. We are seeking a better level of conversation than just habitual drive-bys, being simplistically insulting, or gratuitously flaming various well-established points of view regardless of how strongly they may differ from yours.   13. Please refrain from including overly explicit material in posts.
This includes, but is not limited to, overly violent, obscene, or sexual content in any media form--- including text, pictures, gifs, audio clips, or videos. Use discretion, and err on the side of caution in instances where material you are considering posting might be considered “over the line.” A significant quantity of our traffic visits occur during work hours, are made in public environments, and are made by individuals less than 18 years of age. This is a board open to all, including entire families of all ages of Redskins fans, and it is the official board of The Washington Redskins. Show pride and respect for that fact and give thought to what you post on ES. If you are in doubt about something you're about to post, simply don't post it. Members quoting posts that include such violations (or other rule violations) without editing the violation out of the quote are simply creating another violation of this Rule and may be penalized accordingly.   14. Refrain from posting explicit material in your signature and avatar.
This includes sexually explicit or implicit (hardcore/softcore pornography, animated pictures, written language, etc.) content. There shall be no full/partial frontal or full rear nudity. This rule is strictly enforced.   15. Please maintain respectable size signatures within the limitations set herein.
Maintaining reasonable size signatures minimizes the amount of load time needed to access a given page. Furthermore, it reduces the amount of excessive scrolling required of users perusing threads. Signatures should not exceed 550 pixels in width and 200 pixels in height. These dimensions are not a guideline, they are a rule. It is the standard dimension for the entire signature size a member can use. Regardless of the quantity of photos posted, the sum area of all the photos must not exceed the stated size limitations. In addition, signatures should not contain any more than 10 lines of text. The sum total of the height (i.e. 200 pixels) INCLUDES text or any combination of images and text. An example is provided below:     16. REFRAIN FROM POSTING IN ALL CAPITALS.
On the internet, posting in all capitals is considered shouting, and as such is considered rude and offensive. Overuse of capital letters also creates a strain on the eyesight, and makes it difficult to read text. Caps should be used to show emphasis for only one or two words.   17. Do not create “call out” threads.
These are threads whose intention is clearly to "call out" another particular member on a personal matter beyond their posted content on ES. These forums are not to be used as a medium for personal attacks or private vendettas. To the extent personal exchanges/conversations are necessary---and desired by BOTH parties---those members are encouraged to pursue them via Private Messaging. Feel free to question members as to past comments you’d like them to explain in the spirit of good debate. Do not use private messaging to badger or intimidate other members. Substantiated instances of such behavior will result in the immediate loss of private messaging privileges for the instigator, and may result in permanent banning from ExtremeSkins.   18. Adhere to the directives and recommendations of the ExtremeSkins Staff.
Moderators are appointed because they exemplify the characteristics, attitude, and values consistent with the standards set for the site. They are chosen from the membership by existing Staff after much observation. They have been instructed to enforce board rules, guidelines, and policies, exercising as much restraint as deemed appropriate, and in such a way to encourage free expression of opinion. They have been entrusted and empowered with the ability and authority to achieve desired standards for the site. They are charged with operating in the best interest of the ES community. If any member becomes a significant enough source of repeated conduct issues with ES Staff, or their fellow members, or accumulates an excessive number of rule violations, or engages in problematic behaviors otherwise determined to be unacceptable to the standards we seek, they risk permanent banning of their account at the discretion of the ExtremeSkins Staff. ExtremeSkins allows a wide range of discussion. We will never remove content from our community based on our personal views of the validity of that opinion. The team will not prevent any communication that is harsh or critical of the team. Refrain from unfounded charges of censorship regarding any moderator action taken against a member on the grounds an ExtremeSkins Staffer (or team official) simply didn’t like the content of the opinion. If you receive a moderating action and happen to have expressed a viewpoint in opposition to that of an ES Staff member, the action is due to an actual rule violation and not due to the content of the differing viewpoint. ES Staff members have opinions and may express them with all the rights of any member. Any Staff member's viewpoints that may be contrary to those of any other member are never the grounds for any action against that member. Unfounded charges of bias are not tolerated. These Rules and Guidelines have been promulgated and implemented with the best interest of the community in mind, and with years of experience moderating one of the most active and successful sports-related message boards on the web. We thank you for your attention and cooperation in learning and respecting the Rules. We experience our share of people who do not understand the meaning of the Rules, or have chosen not to learn or follow them, and sometimes choose to challenge or debate the moderators on their implementation. Any suggestion that the people who wrote the Rules and enforce them know them less than you can result in a temporary ban. If you have a disagreement with an action regarding your account, you may either PM a moderator or you can email us at staff@extremeskins.com. Please be patient waiting for a reply. Members should use the Feedback Forum for any general comments you may have regarding board management on any matter. Do not engage in "hijacking" a thread by commenting on such matters in off-topic fashion within a thread. It is also suggested that if a moderator's action doesn't directly involve you, then it's best to consider it none of your business. Normally, we will not discuss matters involving moderator actions on one member with some other member just because they ask, or have an opinion on the matter. Moderators may, however, make such material available in a thread if they so choose, or may solicit such feedback in a thread, if they determine it appropriate. Thank you and we look forward to your participation. ExtremeSkins Staff
