Alot of picks are pretty dead on IMO and some I dont like (Eagles, Cowboys and Giants). Some are reaches but most I think are dead on. Pick Team Player Pos. School Hgt. A wide receiver or safety would also fit. 22 Denver Broncos (F/Was) *Vernon Davis TE Maryland 6027 253 4.45 A faster Shannon Sharpe. Strong runner after catch. Athletic and strong as a blocker. A corner would be nice, but a road grader for Thomas Jones and Cedric Benson is the answer. 27 Carolina Panthers *Laurence Maroney RB Minnesota 5110 215 4.45 The Panthers have a stable of dinged up running backs that have ability. Maroney has had his share of injuries but when he plays, he has power and leg strength to break tackles. Productive with finish speed. 28 Jacksonville Jaguars DeMario Minter DC Georgia 5110 189 4.44 Corner is a priority, but a right offensive tackle could fit here or in round two. 29 Denver Broncos Davin Joseph OG Oklahoma 6022 304 5.10 His good quickness and body control will help him fit in the Bronco's zone blocking schemes like he did for the Sooners. 30 Indianapolis Colts Cedric Griffin DC Texas 6001 192 4.55 The Colts want a starting corner out of this draft, but a running back or linebacker could work here. 31 Seattle Seahawks *Chad Jackson WR Florida 6010 205 4.50 The Seahawks may look at a safety here, but Chad Jackson brings Matt Hasselbeck a receiver that can pluck the ball and is elusive after he catches it. 32 Pittsburgh Steeleres *Darnell Bing FS Southern Cal 6014 220 4.60 Troy Polamalu would love to be paired with another big hitting Trojan if the Steelers decide on a safety. Cowboys wont take an offensive tackle in the first round and the giants need secondary/linebacker help not defensive line help. frankbones Posted February 20, 2006 Share Posted February 20, 2006 No way A.J Hawk is not the 1st linebacker off the board. Jimmy Williams seems a bit too high at #7. Gare Watson at 12 is laughable. Cutler at 16 is too low, I can't see the Ravens, Browns, Lions and Cardinals passing on him. Mangold too high at 17, rarely do centers go that high.
